What a GREAT 24 hours on the Ocean. The weather was EXCELLENT! The overnight was real good. The morning bit was OUTSTANDING….Look at those big Red Puddin Heads! (Red Grouper) It was a good day to be a Captain!
The afternoon bite slowed to a trickle but the results speak for themselves.
Oh Ya…Be sure to check out the pool winner….40+ lb COBIA…..It was caught on the last drop as I will make the call to wind’em up and come to the house!

Continental Shelf – We Went Catching – Part 2 – Saturday -140 Mahi

Well we had another private charter Saturday….this one had a language barrier with it.
Nothing like a little sign language and ol’ fashion just show’em how.
So we did….
How could we do any better than Friday?

The seas worked out as forcasted. Friday morning with a big ol’swell it was pretty getting prettier.
Friday Trip first…Not a bad catch for coming in 2 hours early!

Continental Shelf – 6-18-11 Overnight….
June 20th, 2011Greetings All,
This 24 hour overnight was started off with a beating from the weather. It was blowing a solid 20 knots and 6 foot seas.
We left the dock at 8:00pm and did not arrive on station till 3:00am It was a slow crawl out to the fishing grounds.
With the beating behind we put the sea on our stern and started fishing. IT was on like Donkey Kong from the get go!

This was our second trip in a LONG weekend. The weather was kind of snotty to start the day but got nicer as the day went.
The fish chewed all day again! The SW wind has them feeding but the CURRENT was OMG! and screaming.

Private Charter. Not a lot of people. All in all a pretty easy trip.
The weather was decent. 10-15 SW. The fish were chewing from drop #1

Morehead City Head Boat 6-11-11 Day Trip

We had a HUGH day trip Saturday. I think everyone wanted to come fishing all on the same day!
The catch was Excellent! BIG Black Seabass…..If you want to catch Seabass….Big Blue headed ones….Now is the time!
